The day before your operation
- Eat a light dinner in the evening.
- Do not eat or drink anything after midnight. The day of your operation
- Shower before you leave home.
- Do not wear makeup, jewelry or contact lenses.
- Arrive at the hospital on time.
- You must allow time for parking your car.
- Bring any medicines or tablets you are currently taking.

Training Your Dog It is very important to train your dog. It keeps your dog's mind active, and it helps to build an understanding between you and your dog. Often, owners will shout at their dogs or even punish them when what is needed is training. Training your dog should be fun, and basic training can start when your dog is six weeks old. The best method is reward based training. If a dog behaves in a positive way, it receives the reward of a treat or lots of praise and then it will want to behave in that way again. However, try to keep your training sessions brief as if they're too long your dog might lose interest.

Every year, from late October to the end of December, the Donna Nook Nature Reserve in Lincolnshire plays host to around 50,000 visitors. These guests, including many wildlife photographers, flock to see the amazing spectacle of some 3,000 grey seals and 1,000 newborn pups. The seals have been coming to the area since the 1970s, and the site is now home to one of the UK's biggest seal breeding colonies. The seals, which spend the rest of the year at sea or on remote sand banks, come to the coastline to give birth, and if you're there at the right time you're almost guaranteed a close encounter with these beautiful mammals. However, these creatures need treating with respect, so stay within the viewing areas and don't try to feed or touch them.The site has a daytime car park and is close to amenities in nearby villages. If you can, try and visit in the week, as the weekends get very busy.

When I first left school and got a job, I had to pay a third of my wages to my parents for board. Another third I had to put into savings. This meant that my take home pay went from £200 a week to £66. At the time, I was furious. However, as I got older, I realised that this taught me a valuable lesson about saving money. Professor Hall leans back in his chair and whistles like an old-fashioned kettle on the boil. “If he’s trying to make the case that people are thirsty without knowing it, and if they just drank a little more they could dodge everything from dementia to diabetes, well, he better start making room on his mantelpiece for a Nobel prize. Maybe even two.”
