The Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapies is a technical level qualification aimed at 16-18 learners who are in a full-time Level 3 education programme and wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed massage therapist.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification although it is likely that learners will hold a Level 2 beauty therapy or equivalent qualification.

The Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapy is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a beauty massage therapist, aimed at those learners who are looking to develop their practical skills in body massage with the use of pre-blended aromatherapy oils, Indian head massage, and stone therapy massage.

Learners will also develop their knowledge of the origins of massage and the principles of complementary and alternative medicine.

This vocational qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty massage therapist, including mandatory units covering the following: body massage, pre-blended aromatherapy, client care, stone therapy, health and safety, and Indian head massage.

Throughout this qualification, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and massage medium products. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to provide a variety of relaxing massage treatments using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you in communicating effectively with clients.
